The Traffic Free Mawddach Trail>  Dolgellau - Barmouth (9miles) is a relaxing level ride through mixed woodland alongside the waters edge amidst amazing scenery of the Mawddach estuary, eventually terminating at the Seaside town of Barmouth with its Blue Flag Beaches via the Rail Bridge. 
Picnic tables are conveniently positioned en-route which makes it a perfect biking holiday family activity.

The Forestry Visitors centre is where you will find the Internationally renowned Mountainbiking Wales centre,nearby are the old gold mines involved in the boom of the 1800's and more recently providing gold for the Royal Rings.

Forestry Commision Visitor Centre

The Welsh Cycling and Mountain bike Mecca of Coed-y-Brenin forest is home to an ever increasing network of fantastic handbuilt all weather singltrack and even a dual slalom course. There are a total of 6 routes in the forest, from the 11km Afon Trail, all on forest roads, to the 38km epic ride of "The Beast these offer the best mountainbiking in Wales.
